The Sa-dang of Chong-ga is the orthodox Architecture. The characteristics through spatial experience are as follows; 1. The Sa-dang exists as space connecting ancestor space, the grandson of the main family and the families of the same clan. It is symbolic space as mental meaning. and is connected the heaven and the earth. 2. The location of Sa-dang allows privacy by an encloslng wall. It is functionally related to ritual space(Je-chung). 3. The scale of Sa-dang decided in accordiance with natural condition and economic. 4. The lay out of Sa-dang is based on the same direction of Jung-chim, and follows relative direction rather than absolute, whose meaning is a reflection of geographical features, that is, geomancy(풍수). 5. The spatial composition of rituals deal with Ma-ru. That meaning is reverence and toward heaven. The height of the wall is 5-6 Korean feet. It reflects an indirect mentality and a view of the surroundings. 6. The wall of ㅁ-shape extends a permanently open sequence with a closure. The Sa-dang emphasis on the hierachy by a deep place, high location, and direction. 7. It permanently symbolizes residential space for life and death. The Sa-dang exists with life, sanctity, and heavence.
