Analytical or classical method can be successfully applied to the
calculation of critical loads of rectagular plates without cutouts.
By classical method, many papers discuss the stability of
rectangular plates with different boundary conditions.
In case of rectangular plates with cutouts, however, one should
rely on the numerical method. In this paper, the finits element
methods are to be used to the calculation of critical loads of
rectangular cutouts. The variation of critical loads due to the
change of cutout xizes and their locations are to examined.
