Report Errors
Changes in the social behavioral pattern in the recent years due to rapid developments in the informatics and motorization added with differential leisure behavior, have influenced the library user's use structure.
The guidelines for designing libraries and its ancillary facilities in a community are collected from the careful study of its user needs.
This study will concentration the spatial composition of such multiple library organizations. It will also explain the relationship developed between the user and the physical facility in achieving the new mode of library system. In this research in case study at Tokyo, the point of concentration was "choice behavior pattern" of the user group.
As a result of study, the user in a library installation city did not necessarily use only a nearby library, but "the choice and use" two or more libraries according to the purpose was checked.
The element that of course use from a distance like atmosphere-making of the library is kept is adopted actively, too, and it can think that it is necessary to do attractive library-making that the number of collections of books takes the service of the facilities into consideration with a facilities plan of the future library.
