The intention of this thesis is to present the harmony of the traditional past and the modem times by reflecting the korean tradition in modern cultural facilities.
Through the development of the cities, modern buildings have accepted foreign architectures. As a result, our constructions don't have korean architectural features any longer. This is showing us that our architectural environment is weak of purpose in the true sense of korean architecture.
To solve this problem, we have to take a look at cases where the present and the past don't harmonize with each other, and find adequate architectural elements to fit them with the surroundings. At the same time, it is necessary to present, how to harmonize them with the modern age, through reflecting korean traditions by the cultural heritage.
