Korean Government is increasingly focusing on the Northeast Asian Business and Logistics Hub strategy to create a competitive advantage. A key element of this strategy is creating or leveraging distribution and logistics hubs that act as centres for distribution in Northeast Asia. A Northeast Asian e-Hub Policy is required for business hub and logistics hub in the Northeast Asia.
An e-Hub is an integrated, sophisticated set of e-Biz, information and e-trade facilities and services that provides access to a marketplace and exchanges the e-trade data. To study the e-Hub policy, Pan Asian e-Commnerce Alliance, Korea-Japan e-Trade Hub project, and ASEM e-Trade project are considered.
Asian countries have been slow in forming a regional economic bloc but significant progress has already been made in establishing a pan-Asian e-commerce network. Leading the initiative are such export-oriented Asian economies as Korea, Singapore, Japan, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Representatives of those six countries, all of which are key members of the Pan-Asian E-commerce Alliance (PAA), has got together to create a safe and reliable cross-border online trading system. Development of the e-Asia Marketpiace (e-AMP) in Japan or e-Trade Hub in Korea is a project aimed at creating a B2B EC business platform for all of Asia, including Japan, Korea as a secure trade environment for countries in this region. It is also aimed at developing a steadfast business infrastructure for Asian countries to use in coordinating activities as a global manufacturing center and ASEM e-trade Project has started to establish e-trade network between Korea and Europe.
This study deals with problems of International Projects for e-Trade and the Northeast Asian e-Hub Policy to be the main of the e-Biz in the Northeast Asia.
