This paper aimed at classifying the Kasa works in the 『Kyuckamyoorok(格菴遺錄)』, known as Kyuckam(格菴) Nam Sa-go's (南師古) book, grasping true literary character as Kasa, and taking out some special features of the 『Nonggoongga(弄弓歌)』 as Kasa in the late period of Lee dynasty. The essencials of this study are as follows.
First, being well versed in the art of divination and fortune telling, Kyuck-am became so famous that he was compared with So-Gangjeol(邵康節) of Chinese Song(宋) dynasty and Um-Goonpyung (嚴君平) of Chinese Chock(蜀) dynasty. Though it is said that the 『 Kyuckamyoorok』 was written not by him but by others, I think it is a wonderful compilation of prophecies containing both his own and others' prophecies.
Second, the 『Nonggoongga』 received the mode of Korean folk songs for dandling babies(幼兒遊戱謠) which stemed from Tangoon's (檀君) Tandongchigi Ten commandments(檀童治基 十戒訓), and manifested the vivid aspect of relations with the adjacent genres, deepening and maximizing the Tong-hak's(東學) thought that 'man is God'(人乃天). Of course, this thought also carne from Tangoon's.
It is hoped that more active researches into the other Kasa works in the 『Kyuckamyoorok』 should be made, and their place in the literary history must be taken, sooner or later.(Daegu university)
