Korean Christianity has always been thought of as a parr of Western
subjects. However, the discussion of post-colonialism leads us to de-construct the colonialist narrative in Korean Christianity and enable us to delineate what Korean Christianity must be.
This study is aimed at examining Korean Church's colonial and post-colonial experiences, exploring alternative narratives of Korean Christianity and its identity. By especially taking note of the colonial experience of power, 1 hope to analyze Korean Church's fragments and inter-conneCtions with colonialism, questioning the very dichotomy of self and other, memory and ob
livion, desire for power and exclusion of power, and suggesting a third space that highlights the prophetic narrative of Korean Christianity.
The prophetic voice of faith may challenge all human institutions and ideologies with the unceasing demands of the divinity upon our morral relativity. Given the changing complexities of the current Korean Christianity, the prophetic voice can be most welcome because it is able to speak with discernment about the nature of post-colonial experiences of Korean Christianity.
