After liberation, North Korea propelled diverse campaigns like a drive for production increase and an enlightenment movement etc. for the State building. Those campaigns developed before the establishment of North Korean People's Committee were led by North Korean Communist Party. The total mobilization campaign of thought for the State building("campaign") proposed by Kim Il Sung in November 1946 formulated and included previous campaigns for the State building.
"Campaign" as project finishing social-economic reforms plotted to break with traditional society by national thought reform. "Campaign" beginning with the form of thought campaign leaped for practice campaign passing through the theoretical controversy of Yenan group of communists with the experience of Chinese revolution. Practice campaigns were evolved with the form of competition campaign for production increase. In such process, North Korean leaders provided workers and peasants with political and economical incentives for the purpose of the enlargement of competition campaign. "Campaign" enlarged over the nation in 1947 was recognized with practice campaign rather than thought campaign.
In spite of influencing on the State building of North Korea greatly, "campaign" has been received little attention. Therefore this study is focused on the development and category of "campaign" for the purpose of lightening the characteristic of it. The categories of "campaign" are limited to "thought reform campaign" and "eradication campaign against illiteracy" and "competition campaign for production increase" in 1947.
