Biodiesel has been emerged as a promising biofuel in Korea because of its environmental friendliness and high diesel price. Korean government also conducts strong policy to support biodiesel. As a result, biodiesel business is becoming a hot stuff here. However, there are still many barriers for the dissemination of biodiesel. One of the major barriers is coming from a lack of confidence from stakeholders like engine manufacturers and oil refining industries, the key players in the fuel market. Recently various activities have been started to get the supports from the stakeholders. In this paper, the recent research activities, the challenging pointsfor biodiesel disseminat on and current activities to overcome the problems have been summarized.
