The focus of this paper is to develop a mathematical model of floor surface temperature variation which can be used as a part of a predictive control algorithm. Among several ways to predict floor surface temperature, we may use numerical analysis, but it takes a long time to use and to predict. Therefore, this study suggests a simple modeling procedure of floor surface temperature variation that is developed by a nonlinear regression analysis and a modified logit model. The model could be effectively applied to the control algorithms for the heating systems such as Ondol which responds with a time delay due to the structure’s high thermal capacity.
