This study introduced Parker J. Palmer's attempt on the spiritual epistemology of education applied by the indwelling knowledge. Palmer in his search for a spiritual epistemology, To Know as We Are Known, suggests that knowledge as understood in our societal context must be related to human interests and passion that are often ignored. The knowledge gained through applied empirical and analytical study generally seeks to gain control over a body of information. The knowledge gained through speculative, historical, and hermeneutical study generally seeks to discover knowledge as an end in itself to satisfy curiosity.
The study of spiritual epistemology is one of the most invigorating studies. In this post-modern era, holistic epistemology can provide an eminent alternative to recover the healthy vitality and profound depth of Ancient Christianity. The indwelling of the framework of interpretation has an enormous potentiality to implicate what teaching-learning possesses, in that this framework is the system of concepts and beliefs which brought to bear on experience and to which the knower assimilates what one encounters.
