Recently, information architecture design of mobile phone menu structure has emphasized. It is necessary to study menu-driven interface development between human beings and computers coincided with user's information architecture. Therefore, in this study, general elicitation test of user's knowledge structure is performed, which is related to knowledge domain, items of user's knowledge structure, and the characteristics of each item in the domain. For this, menu design using hierarchical clustering analysis and sketch map test was carried out. As a result, this study showed the difference between menu structure and knowledge structure of user, and suggested basic menu system for new design. Therefore, the approach integrated with using PIA can contribute to menu design of mobile phone.
