The development of transportation and communication have extended the sphere of life and market, the urban external form grows quickly from this situation, and the number of sub-CBD(activity centers) that make the structure of center distribution increase on the outer of city center.
It have dynamically changed as the city growth and the spatial structure recently in Taejon city, so this study analyze the central place in Taejon a viewpoint of space hierarchy. And this space hierarchy examine to discriminate, and to search the character of the land-use and the industrial employment distribution each central place at the basic year 1997.
The results of this study, the central place of Taejon city have dynamically changed and transition process recently, the central place have analyzed a CBD, 2 sub-CBD, 6 Center of neighborhood district in 1997. The central place of city have revealed to change the multi-nucleus structure.
