The aim of this research analyze the subject of Lee Sang Hwa’s poem and to renew the Korean early years poem in the 1920’s. Lee Sang Hwa pioneered the Korean’s poem. He is the poet who acts－the progressive ideas in his heart－in the KAPF.
His idea－cherished deep in his heart－the progressive poem is the discourse that recognize freedom of the individual. The important thing is that Lee Sang Hwa’s subject is not proletarian. The stimulation is not proletarian ideology but his life of conscience that retain the dignity of man.
His life is not decadent but the ceremony to get over the general idea and the conditions of colony. The issue is his poem subject that the inter-subject. The inter Confucian subject is the device of respect for man’s life and dignity. If the device is wrong, human itself will be wrong.
In this study, I make clear of this subject of his poem that showthe Korean early years poem characteristics. So to speak, it is to renew the point of view that the Korean early years poem is one－side reproduction of the West the trend of modern literature.
