This treatise is to examine the religious faith of house, belief of mundane life, and cognition of house through the aspect of the folk song which is handed down orally with relevant to the dwelling house. The purpose of this treatise is to analyze the function and quality in the song of making hard a housing site. The consequences are as follows:
First, the song of making hard a housing site commonly shows the geomantic system of the interacting principles of the negative and positive[Yin and Yang]. The content of the system is mainly religious narrative. The oral narration in real situation is dynamic for corresponding with the effective progress.
Second, the shaman of the making hard a housing site is Seongju with relevant to house. The song is closely connected with the religious faith of house, but is poorly showed religious narrative. The song is remarkably leisurable.
Third, the song's function is strong for praying to god. The song is very amusing because all the people sing the song. The song was expressed by the geomantic system of topography used in choosing auspicious sites for graves and houses. The content of song is unique and conventional.
Fourth, the form of song is fixed, therefore the content is unvaried. But the narrator of song is differently narrated orally with amusement.
Fifth, the song is expected to comprehend the mainstream by describing the aspect of play. The aspect of distribution is relevantly the song of grinding flour from com according to narrator. In the future, the relationship between the song of making hard a housing site and the song of grinding will be discussed.
