It seems that the hours of educating the traditional music will be continuously increasing in elementary school in Korea. However, as explained in the main body of this treatise, the lesson of teaching danso is going on in very formal way in the education of elementary school, when compared with that of teaching recorder, which may be considered as a western counterpart of danso.
The following is the problems in teaching danso, which are revealed in the textbook of music of elementary music.
1. We can find the chapter of teaching of danso in the textbook of the latter grade(from 4th grade) only, whereas that of recorder is found in the text the earlier grade. Also, it is found that the lesson of danso is not going on in a systematical way. Therefore, I argue that the initial lesson of danso should be done earlier than now, and also in a systematical way in accordance with the characteristics of danso.
2. The pictures or photographs of danso in the textbook are not arranged in a proper way, so that students are apt to confused in learning danso. The fact that there is no indication of how to move fingers in the textbook will surely give students a lot of difficulties in learning danso.
3. There are also a lot of problems in jeongganbo(traditional Korean note) and its way of writing tunes, It is because we can find some discrepancies between jeongganbo contained in textbook of elementary that of the junior middleㆍhigh school(the former in a way,
