The students study at Gangnam, Singil, JuangDae-Boosok, Misung and Enchon elementary schools for ballet education and also public schools(Youngwha, Bongchon, Sadang, Sinwoo and Sinjeom) in Donjak district where there are fewest schools to educate dance and ballet among 11 government offices for education. Especially for the ballet teachers the survey covered teachers in other districts because only 5 teachers were available in Donjak district. The conclusion was obtained as follows.
1. The effect of ballet specialty education
1) For the purpose of the ballet education, most students in the specialty education responded to nice body shape and good posture and teachers and parents responded to posture correction by 29.0%.
2) To the effect of saving of educational expenses, general, specialty teachers and ballet parents answered that it gave a great help but general parents responded like so.
2. appreciation of ballet specialty and talent education
For the opening of ballet education, general parents and teachers responded as "cooperation" at the first place and most specialty teachers answered that the opinions among parents were good. About the reason for education not being available, general parents picked most "lacking of facility" and the teachers picked most "not interested".
About the possible problem at the opening of the specialty education, general teachers and parents responded to "providing facility". About the form of education of ballet, general parents responded most to "free education" and general teachers answered to "paid education". Most general students responded to "feel too hard to do" ballet specialty class.
3. satisfaction of ballet specialty and talent education
Students in ballet talent class answered by 90% to "it's fun" about the satisfaction in class and most of them were satisfied with their coaches. They answered " so so" to the facility and curriculum. The most problems in ballet education were "facility assurance".
According to the above results, it is concluded that ballet talent education contributes to the physical development (good body shape and posture) for elementary students as well as emotional and psychological development. Thorough the stepwise(basic, middle, advanced) classes in years, continuous and systematic education should be provided in order to stimulate students' interest and derive the positive public opinion. Especially it is very important to secure the primary facilities and teaching tools for increase the quality of education.
