Through this Article, we looked closely into shamanistic mythologies to find the actual aspects of family ideology. And this discussion allows us to make certain that Korean shamanistic mythologies have their own family ideology. It declares the fact that a shamanistic mythology is not only a cultural fruit which is influenced by historical, political and economic issues of its era, but also a reflection of the traces of family relations in its own era.
As a result of this research, we revealed that the fixed idea which we had on our mind－in traditional society most families are just normal and there's full of love in the family－is mostly wrong. In shamanistic mythologies, there are many dynamics between family members. And a family also has hierarchy. A Family appears changing situations constantly－there is deformations, desolutions and also expansions in the family. All those family figures that shamanistic mythologies includes in its discourse, we found that the idea of a family cannot be restricted within fixed ideas or forms of it. In short, a Family is organization of continuous changes.
