In this paper, a pre/post processor is developed for train shunting impact analysis using a commercial crash analysis software. Using the pre processor KRRI-CrashInput, the engineer who is not an expert in crash analysis can make LS-DYNA input files for train shunting impact analysis easily. The post processor KRRI-CrashOutput will help engineers to check the convergence of the numerical simulation, absorbed energy distributions, coupler force distributions, vehicle acceleration distributions, and coupler force-displacement hysteresis curves. With the KRRI-CrashInput and the KRRI-CrashOutput, we can easily check a train complies with the shunting safety regulation or not.
