To improve the graft-take percentage and quality of the saddle grafted ruby balls with Hylocereus trigonus as rootstocks during summer, the plant growth regulators (PGRs) were treated 5 days after grafting. Globe diameter and root numbers were largest with 90 ㎎ㆍL?¹ indole-3-yl butyric acid (IBA) treatment regardless of the measured dates from grafting, while 75 ㎎ㆍL?¹ ancymidol showed longest root length. The chlorophyll contents was highest with 100 ㎎ㆍL?¹ diniconazole and lowest with 90 ㎎ㆍL?¹ IBA. The graft-take percentages with 25 ㎎ㆍL?¹ ancymidol and 25 ㎎ㆍL?¹ diniconazole were higher than other PGRs with different cocentrations except for 50 ㎎ㆍL?¹ diniconazole. The fresh and dry of the scion with 90 ㎎ㆍL?¹ IBA were increased with different PGRs. The fresh and dry mass of roots were increased by 30 ㎎ㆍL?¹ IBA. The betacyanin contents was highest with 50 ㎎ㆍL?¹ ancymidol and lowest with 60 and 90 ㎎ㆍL?¹ IBA. The marketability was highest with 90 ㎎ㆍL?¹ IBA and lowest with 50 ㎎ㆍL?¹ ancymidol. The Hunter's L value was higher with 100 ㎎ㆍL?¹ N?-benzyladenine, the a value was higher with 100 ㎎ㆍL?¹ diniconazole.
