This article analyzes the authorship of conference papers in proceedings. The annual Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA) conference was selected as the focus of analysis. The time frame selected was the 10 years from 1996 to 2005 and reflects the most recent 10-year period for which complete contribution information was identifiable. It reports on the academic and nonacademic contributions and the proportion of authors from various countries of the world. Institutions that produced the most conference papers as well as repeat contributions of authors are also investigated. Periodic assessment of contributions to the conference provides an indication of the leading institutions contribute to the conference within the field of tourism. The results will be of interest to faculty and students identifying potential institutions at which to teach, research, or study.
