A goal of this study is to analyse the actual conditions and to examine improvement problems of industrial relations in deluxe hotels of Busan.
By reviewing literature and using interviews with employers, employees and the union leaders, the problems of industrial relations to be solved or improved are found such as the weak degree of employer’ efforts making collaborative industrial relations, the weak degree of professionality of trade unions’ cadre and democracy and solidarity in trade union, the high degree of job(specially economic dimension) dissatisfaction, the industrial relations in economic boundary and the limit of corporate-unit collective bargaining. This study suggests improvement scheme to solve these problems and offers proposals for employers and trade unions in deluxe hotels of Busan. Finally, limitations and proposals of this study are suggested.
