Mariano Fortuny (1871-1949), son of Marsal Fortuny. He was Spanish fashion designer, opened his couture house in 1906 and continued until 1946. Work on the main motif used in the fortuny's textiles arranged by category, are as follows: The plant motives are used primarily poemgrante, grapevine, tulip and chrysanthemum patterns. The ancient motives are used cretan motives and pleats patterns. The patterns of pomegranates were reinterpreted patterns in Venice of 15-16 century. Tulip is a symbol of Islamic culture. Fortuny's personality and the Islamic relics specialist Nancy hometown of Granada, who collected the award statement to the world that reflect the nature of this work is shown in fortuny's textiles. The chrysanthemum patterns in Europe while Japan, unveiled active interest in the culture of the time zone, especially, chrysanthemums, the symbol of the Japanese imperial family, and his statement is still a lot of work affect his thinking. The pleats and cretan patterns has been primarily used much affect from the ancient greek and Italian costume. In Fortuny's design of the world's textile their cultural experiences in life, a relic from the era got the inspiration to take, in the past 19C-20C reproduction techniques, rather than the 20th century, science and technology reinterpreted its behavior as part of the new reality of the unique because, a lot of his work is the era of world textile designer who inspired them with a challenge.
