The purpose of this study is the characterization of textiles in venezian paintings of 15th-16th century Italy. There are selected nine venezian paintings, three paintings by Gentille Bellini(1492~1507), one by Giovanni Bellini(1430~1516), two by Gorgione(1478~1511), and three by Tiziano Vecellio(1490~1576). The choosen paintings depict the figures is excellent. The theoretical background about venezian and venezian paintings are considered through related literature.
The mainly color showing from the Venezia pictures of 15th~16th century is red. Beside black and green, blue color were visible. Also it is a textile goods which to get formed the fabric which 15~16 centurial venezia is most gorgeous the gold and silver company is mixed and comes. The textile goods was the most satin and the velvet. At that time was various and expresses a red color the dye for used the brazil wood, the madder and the kermes. The textiles dyed with various dye stuff has the symbolic meaning of each identity.
