Cultural aspects of relationships between Russia and China are subject to extensive further studies. In a number of bilateral projects having started at different levels, underestimation of components and issues of cultural and cross-cultural origin may often lead to slowdowns and failures. Corporate actors still significantly lack knowledge of the partner's customs and traditions. In this context, it is important to pay closer attention to Hofstede and Trompernaas models highlighting significant characteristics, attained to certain nations, in comparative perspective. Together with Hofstede's model of Confucian dynamism peculiar to the Chinese culture, it becomes possible to set a framework for analysis and measure different characteristics of such aspects like power relationships, etc. Reviewing of the model through prism of the Russo-Chinese interactions exhibits not only differences but common characteristics between cultural standpoints in Russia and China, while increased awareness of both helps in planning and decision-making. Additionally, further field research and case studies in the field shall be greatly appreciated.
