This study is about postcolonial concept in posunodern period, focusing on Korean cinema. Korean history passes through complex relations among colonialism, modernity, and nationalism and think them nor as opposites but as mutually influencing web of relations which continues Korea today.
Accordingly, recent Korean cinema is reexamined from this perspectives of mutual influence of colonialism, modernity, nationalism in postmodernism. This study is based on Stewart Hall's cultural theory, Horni Baba's cultural hybridity, Spivak;s subaltern subject.
And then this study analyzes two Korean blockbuster films, based on cultural hybridity and focusing on dicourse of national idendity and gender problem.
