The purpose of this study is to explore the current phenomena of HDV editing system in college. Most of 136 colleges in our country that has film major have so called 'film workshop' in which students make there on films. Although it is short film, the total amount to make a less than 10 minutes short could go 10,000,000 won. Therefore, this motive that colleges select for D-Cinema environment construction in a hurry is reason that convert to HD or HDV system from film system now. Specially, HDV is side that it can secure quality of contents in college's situation which finance is lacking and fulfill enough students' desire. As clear in study nevertheless, that there is no confidence about HDV yet is true. This is part that can do that is caused to below technological defect side as well as some camera development companies' marketing operation and need solution.
Finally, HDV will advance time that HDVs image manufacture is activated forward even if develop new technology that MPEG2-TS even if defend way, or MPEG2-TS if it is not even if plan technology change of photographing way through conversion of Wavelet compression way of JPEG2000 base that is current problem can be edited smoothly or may change by new alternative technology
If D-Cinema is expected to lead continuous development by main video of movie image field and IID's universal Master standard is readied, standard data operation environment of D-Cinema is embodied and D-Cinema through this is predicted to spread to market more fast. Such industrial confidence is based in technological consummativeness of HDV system.
If amplify, brought technological progress that all image manufactures can be embodied in one image format without special conversion process until photographing → editing → screening because all distributions of D-Cinema and HDTV for last suggestion of all images are embodied by MPEG2-TS from when Master image is made finally based on MPEG2-TS Codec and HDV format of such technological surrounding films way. Of course, advantage of this HDV format can assume that depend on technical development of edit process. Also, D-Cinema presages immense structure change movie contents and visual industry including digital broadcasting or package media. There is HDV to the point to that note in study.
