This paper explores the usage difference between on-line and offline generation in media uses including time, information section, and related information. This original research is to understand how people spend their times, interests of the information, perceptions of the social issues. Therefore, the broad purpose of Profile of Korean Media usage trend and implication between on-line and offline generation(young and old generation) is to understanding of the pattern of consumption of media contents and to understanding how people communicate both information and people. This study describes over media usage in terms of 1) total spending time in media among generations 2) time segmentation of each media, 3) media usage purposes, and the study applied theory and systematic analyses to figure out to explanation of the differences. The multidimensional analyses of media usages can provide the model of media usage trend and view of world. The variables include age, gender, education, living place. income. This study provides analytic results: 1) media usage pattern, 2) trend or types in contents of media usage by generation. Through this explanation, this study predicts the next generation's media usage trend and content trend. In addition. the media usage is related to perception of the society, economic condition, and political perception. The results will describe what kind of type or trend existed on a large scale to contents between generations. Finally, the last goal of this study is to provide a model of media use trend in the current Korean digital generation.
