The purpose of this article is to analyze the optimal morphological characteristics of elite male pro golfers. The morphological optimization is the culmination of a final body shape and composition result from training, golfer type. In this study 55 male pro golfer (5 male elite) measured 39 anthropometric sites. To evaluate of the optimal morphological characteristics, ANOVA and easy OZ by Ms-Excel program were used. OZ means two distributions are the degree to overlapping. Two distributions can differ from each other if the mean of one is dislocated relative to the other if the variability of one is markedly different from the other. It would like to be able to quantify in OZ for a selection pressure, there are some difficult on OZ calculation because it is need to calculate by iteration over 10 or more for the intersection of two curves.
The result of this study was as followed. First, male elite pro golfers' iliac crest, front thigh skinfold site was lower than general pro golfers. Second, muscle mass was lower than others. Third, brachial index, forearm, thigh, mid-thigh, radiale-stylion, midsty-dactylion, biiliocristal breadth, transverse chest, and anterior-posterior chest depth were higher than general male sport aerobic players. Therefore, the golfers' leaders at the excellence players of selection, these factors need to consider is he excellence players of the selection. In addition, training for the trunk and the lower part of the body are necessary.
