This paper is intended to grope for establishing writing ethics of university students and suggest the concrete prescription about making healthy writing ethics to the university community. Also this study will provide appropriate guideline to student about making their learning attitude right and fostering straightforward studying environment through these efforts.
In terms of awareness in writing ethics of university students, it must not be ignored because many of student do not know what exactly is wrong when they write paper or report. It's very common that plagiarizing another's paper, for instance using other's ideas and words without comment, citing other's lines without any proper commentary, and purchasing another's report through net. A widely spread an unethical writing atmosphere should be corrected and restored as the right way because it is not only undesirable but also serious as it would hamper students' ability to solve various problems with their own creativity and intelligence.
From now on, the university community should try hard to make a countermeasure for this problem. Education on writing ethics for university students is imperative and urgent. In the present report I have suggested new education programs for writing ethics such as making a guideline for writing ethics, publishing a guidebook, development of a checklist for self assessment, writing ethics education as a course of study, research study for assistant teachers or professors, and so forth are those.
It would be possibly contribute much to build a healthy academia and promote the right awareness of ethics in writing if these kinds of various teaching and education programs are developed and introduced to academia continuously.
