If we want to study the history of political system in the early Goryeo, we should find the documents in connection with the topic. In studying the history of political system, it makes good use of the documents as follows: Goryeosa, Goryeosajeolyo, Epigraph, Old manuscript, Collection of works, 25-histories in China, Tongjeon, Jikgwanbungi, Dangyukjeon etc.
Byuntaesub and Parkyongun led to the study of the history of political system in the early Goryeo in 1970~90, and since then a lot of new researches comes out. The trends of these researches are three. First, it comes out critical interpretation that emphasizes the king's part against the point of view of aristocracy. Second, the debate is in about the Samsung system and plural offices system. Third, new subjects which didn't study before this is studying.
Our studies represent new view points about Samsung system and Jungchuwon. The admission of Samsung system was general trends in East Asia at that time. Naesamunwhasung consists of Naesaryoung, Munwhasijung, Naesasirangpyungjangsa, Munwhasirangpyungjangsa, Chamjijeongsa. Jungchuwon functioned military and close associates, and then consulted government. Byungbu took charge of the military administration and Jungchuwon undertook a military command in the early Goryeo.
