Kurosawa Akira shows the Japanese society after the defeat of World-war 2 in "Rasyomong", especially focusing on the Tokyo trial by the structure of the play. This movie shows what kind of social issues Japanese society embraces like 'original sin' after the Tokyo trial. GHQ did not request the war responsibility of Japanese Emperor in the political decision, and selected A-class war criminals arbitrarily. As the result, someone thinks this trial as 'the trial of civilization', or 'the trial of the winner'. And in the process of postwar democracy in Japan, this kind of controversy appears repeatedly in the debate of 'Distributed Democracy'.
Some popular culture of modern Japan repeatedly questions that, what is the desirable Japanese man? what kind of conflict is presented between America and Japan? what is the war responsibility and how Japanese morale falls down? This paper goes back this kind of problems to GHQ governance that constructed the original contradiction of modern Japanese society, and calls that 'the culture of postwar conflict'.
"Rasyomong" is the initial work of 'the culture of postwar conflict', that shows the morale downfall of Japanese military leaders, the brutality of American conqueror, and the crisis of Japanese women' chastity in the theatrical structure.
