Chosun Independence Alliance was one of Korean independence movement group based in northern China area that developed its anti-Japanese movement jointly with the Chinese Communist Party at the end of Japanese imperialism. The Chinese Communist Party defined World War Ⅱ as a confrontation between fascists and anti-fascists and considered itself as the leader of the anti-Japanese and anti-fascists movement of the oppressed people in East Asia. Therefore, the anti-Japanese national independence movements of Korean, Taiwanese, and Vietnamese people and also along with the Japanese anti-war movement groups in the jurisdiction of the Chinese Communist Party formed an international solidarity under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party.
Chosun Youth Federation in northern China a predecessor of Chosun Independence Alliance, announced its platform at the inaugural ceremony held in January 10, 1941, as follows: "We protest the Japanese invasion to China and actively participate in the anti-Japanese war of China. We support the liberation movement of Korean people and praise the anti-war movement of the Japanese people's revolution, and will organize the anti-Japanese united front of Korean, Taiwanese, and Japanese people." The organization of Chosun Youth Federation in northern China organization was being evaluated as part of the framework of unified international unification front of oppressed people of East Asia.
Also, the outbreak of war between the US and Japan amplified the expectations for Japanese defeat, and the Chinese Guornindang government and the Chinese Cornmunist Party were interested in the establishment of a new international order in the post-war China and northeast Asia, under this circumstances, the existence of Chosun Independence Alliance was regarded as of great importance as a power group comparable to the alliance between the Chinese Guornindang government and the Korean Provisional Government.
After all, activities of Chosun Independence Alliance can be understood in the context of other anti-Japanese movements throughout of united people of East Asia. However, the comradeship with the Chinese Cornmunist Party that was formed to defeat Japanese imperialism was gradually changed to a vertical relationship. This was the shackles of international dynamics imposed on the independence movement of a small and weak country that tried to regain its nation while in another country, power of the small and weak nation, which tried to regain its nation while in the other country. The struggle of an overseas independence movement power that tried not to lose its identity despite the harsh in the tightness of international, circumstances makes us to look back ourselves who are now struggling again in the middle of the international trend of globalization.
