So far, the cooperation between South and North Korea has been focused on economic one. Owing to digital revolution and IT-oriented policy of North Korea, the cooperation is shifted to IT and e-commerce, North Korea has the policy to increase national wealth by upholding the IT industry and is welcome to the IT cooperation with South Korea as South Korea has strength in these IT and e-Commerce industries.
Through the cooperation between South and North Korea, Samsung-Chosun Computer Software Cooperative Development Center and Hana Program Center and IT Complex had been built.
The e-Commerce Cooperation between South and North Korea will develop the e-commerce in North Korea in the future but there is digital divide between South and North Korea. Although poor IT infrastructures in North Korea must be bottleneck in IT and e-Commerce cooperation with South Korea, it is the best time to develop the IT infrastructure in North Korea for developing e-Commerce in North Korea and Between South and North Korea.
This paper deals with the e-Commerce Cooperation between South and North Korea. And e-Commerce Cooperation are evaluated and desirable direction are display for e-Commerce Cooperation.
