To establish the strategy for achieving the international convention destination competitiveness , first of all, it is required to evaluate the competitiveness of provinces. For this reason, this study evaluated the international convention destination competitiveness of 16 provinces considering international convention selective attributes. Based on the literature review, international convention selective attributes were selected and analyzed the relative importances.
The results of the study showed that convention facilities, additional facilities, financial support of local government, access to convention, human resources and tourism facilities were selected as most important attributes by priority through AHP. On the basis of relative importances of selective attributes, the international convention destination competitiveness of 16 provinces was analyzed. As the results of the analysis, Seoul, Jeju, Busan, Kyeonggi and Gaegu were chosen in order of priority as competitive international convention destination.
The study results specifically suggested priority of 16 local government competitiveness as international convention destination.
