The purpose of this thesis is to reconsider who were the actual leading group of people in charge of publication and characteristics of the Dokrip Sinmun. Published from August 1919 to November 1926, Dokrip Sinmun was known as “the Bulletin of the Provisional Government” because it shared various political activities with the Korean Provisional Government under the basic purpose of 'Independence of Korea’. However, doubts have arisen on deciding the characteristic of the newspaper when observing the people in charge of running the Dokrip Sinmun and the tone of voice in argument used in the articles.
It has been found that the actual leading body who ran and managed the Dokrip Sinmun was the 'The group of Ahn Chang-ho' unlike the previous study indicating that it was Provisional Government who took the lead of the paper. Based in the northern west regions, ‘The group of Ahn Chang-ho’ consisted of people who were on good terms with Ahn Chang-ho under his lead. The group also referred to the members and the related ones of the ‘Heungsadan(興士團)’ organized by Ahn Chang-ho. Also, it includes people who had same political aims and activities like assembling of the public representative conferences with Ahn Chang-ho. In other words, it was the Ahn Chang-ho and his people who led the Dokrip Sinmun.
As is was seen, the Dokrip Sinmun represented the group of Ahn Chang-ho who were the key figures in the publication of papers, and the characteristic of the Dokrip Sinmun changed depending on its opinions and movements throughout the time.
