Many attempts have been made to develop conceptual approaches to the study of convention industry. Research on the various issues about impacts of convention industry has been completed by a lot of researchers. This study agrees that Busan is the most feasible city that is able to embrace and attract large number of out of Korea visitors and induce export income for Busan. Because Busan is the largest, easiest to access, and have convention center and hotels. According to the fact, this thesis tries to assess the strategic market method of convention center development in Busan. This research also tries to find out Busan attributes that are important advantages to convention attendees and residents as well, how Busan can be recognized according these attributes, convention center operational characteristics, and the economic activities generated Factor and cluster analyses are to develop a typology of attendees participating in convention, conference, meeting, exhibition, workshop, etc. in Busan.
