The differential settlement on ordinary buildings and paved road are often occurred and which caused the failure of structure. The grouting method can be used for correcting the settlement of structure. However, the grouting method has a disadvantage like that it takes a long time period to get a desired strength, and it is not a continuous in the phase of reinforced effect.
The method of using restoration of high-density and rapid expansion material is thought to be applied for appropriate method of strengthening soft ground. In particularly, the situation of difficult construction circumstance or weak foundation is sometimes required the urgent reinforcement or maintenance limited space such as downtown area, reinforcement for irregular subsidence of a structure occurring in weak ground, prompt reinforcement work for existing pile and underpinned structure. Additionally, it can be applied under the ground water level in the soil strata.
