This study purposed to analyze and examine influence of imagery and relaxation training on an amateur golfer"s better performance, and how these affect anxiety and self-management. The subject was taught about the overall planning of imagery and relaxation training to understand the terms of the training, and trained imagery and relaxation training every single day. During 140 days of the total training, it consists of 10days of education period, 40 days of training period, and 90 days of a golf toumament preparation period. The subject, who was an amateur golfer aimed to acquire a pro-teaching license, did 40 days the training camp, and did video recording to use for skill-imagery and relaxation training. Relaxation breathing control and progressive relaxation were trained just after get up in the morning and just before go to bed in the night for relaxation training, and the prograssive training was put to practical used just before a swing for a round of golf. the training results were affirmative with paychological skill and athlete self-management, and reduced with cognitive state-anxiety and physical state-anxiety from CSAI-2. The number of stroke was also decreased with previous one before the training, and the subject achieved to get the pro-teaching license. Therefore, the results showed that imagery and relaxation training could reduce anxiety and encourage performance of golf with psychological stability.
