Bus routes have been renewed continuously in most urban cities. The evaluations of bus route relies mainly on the economic efficiencies. Existing researches suggested various evaluation indices. However, the researches which emphasize on the accessibility and equity of the bus service for the using people are few. Therefore, in this paper the indices of the accessibility and equity are applied to evaluate bus routes, with the case study of the Daejeon bus route network. Firstly, user-oriented indices consist of the total in-vehicle travel time, total waiting travel time and transfer rate. Secondly, operators-oriented indices are selected the average operating time and total operating length, In addition, manager-oriented indices are selected the deviation of route, duplication rate of routes, and accessibility and equity indices developed in this paper. Evaluations are performed for the three different alternatives of bus network, with or without accessibility and equity index, Consequently, applying the accessibility and equity indices the results in positively affect to the efficiency of bus network.
