The aim of this study was two-fold: first, to explore the medical tourism destination choice attributes in Korea; and second to investigate the relationship between overall satisfaction and behavioral intention of medical tourists. A total of 230 questionnaires were collected at the selected hospitals and travel agencies, and only 213 questionnaires were used for consideration in the data analysis. A principle factor analysis was employed to explore five medical tourism destination choice attributes including medical tourism destination infrastructure/recognition, medical expertise/medical institution’s reputation, patient care/hospital operation, medical cost/policy support, and medical ethics/medical service. A simple regression analysis was then used to identify the result of hypotheses that the overall satisfaction of medical tourists made significant effects on the behavioral intention. This suggests that destination choice attributes of medical tourism might be important factor for increasing the medical tourists’ level of satisfaction. Finally, policy and marketing implications were also discussed.
