This study aims to draw improvement strategy and effective operation schemes of Landscape Self Check System as Landscape Management System of Seoul City through survey of officials and architects and result of two years(2009.4~2011.3) trial operation. The assessment of trial application shows the improvement of submission rate and wrong submission rate, while the former is still low and the latter is staying high. The rate of correct recognition of the officials who collect the checklists reaches about the half. Analyzing the rates by each Gu-districts shows that the variation of the rates among the Gu-districts are relatively high and that the correlation between the rate of cognition and submission. Also officials and architects responded that the searching system construction of the landscape management zones and design guidelines must take precedence in order to operate landscape self check system effectively. The searching system is expected to contribute settlement of landscape management system by citizen participation. Activation of education and providing guidelines of landscape management will be great help for officials in managing system and consulting with architects.
