Growth-oriented development in the 60-70’s was created in the old section of the city and necessity of urban regeneration was raised. Sustainability and urban regeneration receive attention to new urban planning through the methods of physical improvement, economy of a city-social conditions, social-cultural condition. But the existing method of development achieves only physical repair-oriented regeneration. In this study it will be used as it is useful data of deliberate elements and social sustainability index in the process of city regeneration based on the Urban rearrangement promotion project and “Rainbow project” in Daejeon city.
