Report Errors

This study the relationship between smartphone use and traditional media uses. Based on media substitution hypothesis, this study tested the relationships how smartphone use, function use(Internet, TV, radio, newspaper, game), motives affect changes in uses of other traditional media (Internet, TV, radio, newspaper, game). Results showed that smartphone use, particularly Internet, radio, newspaper, and game use using smartphone reduced the traditional form of each medium. In addition, multifunction and info-learning motives reduced traditional media uses. The study suggests how smartphones may substitute traditional media.
