The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze especially the effect of the eco-mark as an extrinsic cue on the attitude toward product and the purchase intention in addition to the other extrinsic cues such as price, brand, store and advertisement that have been widely examined in the previous literature. The results of this study are as follows; First, eco-mark, brand, advertisement have a positive effect on the attitude toward product, whereas price had a negative effect and store had no effect on the attitude toward product respectively. Second, consumer’s attitude toward product had a significant effect on the purchase intention. The findings provide some evidences for the necessity and importance of eco-mark acquisition by companies and suggest some guidelines for the education of consumers in their purchasing activities.
