When vehicle impacts with 25mph speeds to oblique rigid barrier neck injury values of unbelted passenger side dummy frequently scores high level up to regulation limit values. During the vehicle crashes to oblique rigid barrier vehicle’s body has additional movement to Y-direction because it collides with a rigid barrier which has a 30 degrees of angle. Some cases, unbelted dummy’s head bumps into vehicle’s interior parts like a sun visor or A-pillar without adequate restraint from airbag cushion. During the whole stage of car-developments SLED crash simulation tests are widely used to correlate and improve the problems which occurred in vehicle crash tests. Sled tests have benefits of costs and time reduction compared to vehicle crash tests. We focus on the correlate the dummy’s injuries and movements between SLED and vehicle crash on oblique crash mode. We did a motion analysis of vehicle and dummy’s movements and introduce several methods to correlate the dummy’s injury.
