Today, city has changed its" main concept into supporting people"s everyday lives. The need and concern for urban squares, which can be called as living room for the city, is also growing. Sensible space is the place in which have people react emotionally and interact with their space, and for further, relationship can be formed. In this paper, we considered sensible features of city square as important elements in people"s lives, and tried to have a look at these characteristics. As a result, first, urban squares considered range of human perception, providing people with the dynamics of the geometric shapes and intense colors to account for a range of remote visual stimuli. Using materials, water, light, or plants, the stimulation in detail, which can be enjoyed at close range of human sense, such as touch, texture, or sound were also provided. Second, the settings for the essential activities, optional activities, and social activities, were provided to accommodate a variety of different activities. These settings has ambiguity of functional form, so these forms were useful for accommodating other associated activities, or voluntary activities. Third, there were many of cases that caused interests by comparing with or changing into contrasting elements. Coexistance of classic and modern, artificial and natural, monotony and the flamboyance in one space provided friendly, but interesting space. Changes over time in the space, such as, day and night, seasonal changes instigated ongoing relationship between people and space.
