The aim of this study is to do research on empirical operating cases on the relationship between high performance HRM system and organization effectiveness around the organizations by medical institution type(a doctor’s office, clinic, general hospital, general health care institution); for this purpose, this study investigated the 4 hospitals which declined in their business performance, and another 4 hospitals which made growth in their business performance in 2010(Reference:〈The 2010 Hospital & Doctor’s Clinic Business Analysis by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute〉) among the organizations by medical institution type based on SHRM(Strategic Human Resources Management) operating cases of the domestic advanced hospitals.
The research result showed that there was a limit in generalization through the case study, but the high-performance HRM system has something to do with the direct or indirect influence on organizational performance even in hospital organization.
Viewed based on the research result, this study grasped the individual importance by component between high-performance HRM system, organization performance and variables by medical institution organization type, which made it possible for this study to suggest a model determining execution elements of high-performance human resources management by medical institution organization type at a level of practical business; in addition, at a scientific level, this study result can be imbued with the meaning that it can contribute to the setting of a lot more research directions on the strategic high-performance HRM system and organization effectiveness.
