A characteristic of a place is visually revealed by understanding and analyzing it. After the loss of a sense of place in the international architecture, movements to retrieve it in architecture has increased by many architects. Although contemporary architecture is widely under the influence of digital technology, this attempts to recover a sense of place have not been successful to utilize digital methodologies for a placeness formation. This paper aims to explore the possibility of utilyzing the digital technology to assist to form a sense of place, mainly by analyzing the architecture of SHoP Architects.
