Report Errors

Dative Subject Construction has been the target of research　because case marking and its function do not match. The target of this paper is the sentence of “[NP1]niwa, + [NP2]ga + Emotive adjective”. Semantically, it is an Emotive Adjective Sentence. In this sentence, the first NP is an experiencer and second NP is a stimulus or cause.
First, this Dative Subject Construction was compared with Double Subject Construction. Syntactically, Dative Subject Construction has word order freer than Double Subject Construction. Semantically, a Dative case limits the range of an adjective only to NP1. Dative Subject Construction is markedness compared with Double Subject Construction.
Secondly, It was compared with the Passive Sentence. It is similar with the Affectivity passive from a point without a direct actor. An Affectivity passive is a passive of an intransitive verb. The Affectivity passive is passive of an intransitive verb. In this respect, Dative Subject Construction can be said to be the Emotion Passive Sentence.
Thirdly, the pair of the Voice of Dative Subject Construction was considered. Voice is a concept showing a participant"s stance. Dative Subject Construction becomes a pair of the voice of a Emotion transitive verb sentence. Dative Subject Construction sets a description viewpoint to an experiencer"s emotion. A transitive verb sentence expresses an experiencer"s state. Structurally, Dative Subject Construction is similar with adjectival passive in English. However, the completely same thing as adjectival passive sentence　 of　English is Emotion transitive verb sentence in Japanese. Dative Subject Construction puts a viewpoint on the emotion of a experiencer. A Emotion transitive verb sentence puts a viewpoint on the state of a experiencer.
Grammar is a frame showing a speaker"s attitude. The speaker can differentiate between their viewpoint and situation, or The speaker can state their viewpoint differently from the situation. The difference in this viewpoint becomes a grammar phenomenon. Dative Subject Construction is the grammar expressing the emotion which an experiencer does not wish.

여격주어구문은 격표시와 그 격의 기능이 다른 현상이라는 것만으로 연구의 대상이 되어 왔다. 본 연구의 대상이 되는 문형은「[NP1]には +[NP2]が+감정형용사」이고, 의미론적으로는 감정형용사문이다. [NP1]에는 경험자, [NP2]에는 감정의 대상이나 원인이 온다. 본 연구는 이런 여격주어구문을 서술시점의 이동에 대한 하나의 문법으로 간주하고 통사구조와 의미관계를 밝혀보았다.
첫째 이중주어구문과 비교해 본 결과, 이중주어구문보다 여격주어구문의 어순이 자유롭다. 방향(direction)을 나타내는 여격이 술어가 미치는 범위를 주어에 한정시켜주는 역할을 하고 있다. 여격주어구문이 이중주어구문에 비해 유표(marked)가 된다.
두 번째로 수동문과의 비교해 보면, 직접적인 행위자가 없는 측면에서는 피해수동문과 의미적으로 유사하다. 또 여격은 경험자의 감정은 의도 된 것이 아니라는 것을 나타내는 통사적 표시가 된다. 수동문이 동작의 수동표현이라면 여격주어구문은 감정의 수동표현으로 볼 수 있다.
세 번째 여격주어구문은 보이스의 한 쌍으로 볼 수 있다. 보이스의 개념을 사태에 대한 참가자의 입장을 나타내는 개념으로 파악하면, 여격주어구문은 감정타동사문과 보이스(Voice)적 대립을 이루는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 여격주어구문은 경험자의 감정에 중심을 두는 표현이고 감정타동사문은 경험자의 상태에 중심을 두는 표현이다.
문법은 단순한 사태와 사실을 상대에게 전달하는 틀(frame)일뿐만 아니라 화자와 사태의 관계, 화자의 태도를 다르게 나타내는 틀이기도 하다. 화자는 한 사태를 전달할 때 사태와는 다른 시점에서 말할 수 있다. 이런 시점의 차이는 문법현상으로 실현된다. 여격주어구문은 경험자가 의도하지 않은 감정을 나타내는 문법으로 볼 수 있다.
